10 Top US Military Gift Ideas

July 20, 2012 By admin

When it comes time to buy a gift for a military person, you may have a few ideas in mind. However, you don?t want to buy the ?same old, same old? as you have in the past. Instead, you should consider a gift that they will be able to use and/or cherish for many years to come.

While there is no right and wrong gift for somebody in the Military, you should think long and hard about what you are buying.

Here are 10 of the best gift ideas:

1. Computer war games. This may not be something you are interested in, but most who have served in the Military are well aware of just how fun these games can be. With many war games to choose from, you will not have a difficult time finding the right one for that special someone in your life.

2. Flag display case. This is by far one of the best gifts for those about to retire from the Military or veterans.

3. Pocket watch. No matter if the person served in the Army, Navy, or Air Force, he or she is sure to enjoy a nice pocket watch. These are available with the insignia of the appropriate branch on the lid.

4. Personalized Military coffee mug. If you know somebody who served in the Military and drinks coffee, this is the perfect gift. If nothing else, you can guarantee that he or she is going to get good use out of this ? one morning after the next.

5. Remote control tank. Your favorite Military person may not be able to drive a tank for real anymore. That being said, controlling one of these tanks can be a lot of fun.

6. Military travel guide. Anybody who enjoys visiting Military bases as they travel will find this to be a useful gift.

7. Military pillows. These come with the branch insignia. On top of this, they are extremely comfortable and quite durable.

8. Military Christmas ornament. This is a low priced, high quality gift that every veteran or current Military member will fall in love with. Every year at Christmas time, he or she will remember who gave them this great gift.

9. Military hat. Baseball caps come in many varieties, some with the insignia of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and other branches.

10. Military knife. Let?s face: most people who serve or have served in the Military enjoy weapons. A good Military knife is a great gift.

No matter if you are buying for a birthday, Christmas, or some other occasion, consider the 10 gift ideas above.
