6 Reasons to Go Army

October 19, 2009 By admin

The Army has many different incentives to get you to join. For some, just being a part of the oldest branch in the United States Armed Forces is enough incentive. For those looking for more incentives, here is a list of some of the benefits you will receive as an Army soldier:

Income ? Being a soldier is a career and you will be compensated for your service. The amount you are paid is largely determined by the rank you have obtained. The higher the rank, the better the pay will be.

Travel – Many people long to see the world, but lack the money or the wherewithal to make such travel a reality. With the Army you will have the opportunity to go to exotic locations and see interesting things.

Enlistment Bonus – Just for enlisting in the Army, you will be given a large bonus. The bonus you receive will depend on the career you intend on pursuing in the Army. You have the ability to receive up to $40,000.

Retirement – Many companies in the private sector do not even offer retirement packages any more. The United States Army will pay you a retirement check every month after 20 years of active service.

Tuition Reimbursement – For those who already have a college education, the Army offers programs to help you repay your student loans. You can qualify for up to $65,000 to pay off you education costs.

Education – Not only will you learn while on the job, the Army will help you to go to college by offering you access to the Montgomery GI Bill as well as the Army College fund.
