Active Duty Applications From IRR Due

March 21, 2009 By admin

If you are in the Inactive Ready Reserve and you wish to join back into the Active Duty , your application is now due. Certain ranks in the officer corps, such as Majors, Captains, and lieutenant Colonels attached to the Army Reserve and National Guard in the inactive Ready Reserve are able to rejoin in the call to active duty 2009 Regular Army program.

Officers in the Inactive Ready reserve who are approved to the reactivation program will then be liable for a three year commission and duty for service.

Learn how to earn a commission while you learn at college. Programs in Army and Navy ROTC are available, click HERE for more information.

To be eligible you have to have at least four years of active federal commissioned service, have a four year higher college or university degree, qualify for a security clearance of secret or better, and be eligible for service otherwise. You have to be a US citizen and be able to reach 20 years of service by age 62.

This is a good program for those Inactive ready reserve officers looking for the chance to re enlist for another tour of duty. With the economic conditions and current situation in the private sector, it is believed that there will be a lot of former officers applying for reactivation under this program.

Is this program still active? If so, where do you find the POC? Is there a website dedicated to this program?
