Both Sons And Daughters Of Iraq Register With Coalition
One of the most vital groups in the Iraqi Community is the Sons of Iraq, and recently the Daughters of Iraq. Both are patriotic to the Iraqi Nation, and they are continuing to work hard for their community, and their nations.
There are nearly 2,900 members that were recently registered with the Iraqi Government, the last of the Sons and Daughters of Iraq that needed to be registered.
They were registered in the Adhamiyah district of north Baghdad September 20th, and they work hard to do many different tasks that the Iraq security forces either cannot accomplish or do not have the Servicemembers available to do.
The men and women work to man combat outposts, security outposts, and other duties, and they were all registered with the Coalition to help show who was acceptable and who were possibly insurgents.
Part of the registration process is making sure that the members are Vetted, and identified, and this was done again for the Government of Iraq. It is a positive thing and everyone involved are in support of the process, and the Government of Iraq has now said they will continue the program in the same method that the Coalition began.
The security in the region was very bad for over five years, and there was a lot of insurgency and terrorist cells operating in the area. Now, it is thought of and regarded as a model area, with a low amount of terrorist activity, and a positive increase in overall security.
