Air Force Enlisted Education Options

The Air Force maintains a number of different educational programs that are unique to the Air Force. They maintain them to help encourage and support their enlisted ranks and give their Airmen a chance to advance, as well as increasing the professionalism of their service. They maintain three different schools to support these efforts. And, they are always looking for different methods to increase their academic support.

Using these three schools are an activity that the Air Force encourages for all of their enlisted personnel. Supervisors in the Air Force attempt to make sure that when their enlisted subordinates qualify for one of these schools, that they are given a chance to attend.
Senior NCO Academy- The Air Force has a top Level course that is designed for their senior enlisted personnel. It is intended for Senior master sergeants, Command Master Sergeants, and Master Sergeants, and it?s a is a seven-week course that is held at Maxwell AFB in Alabama.
The resident PME programs are courses that are highly specialized, and they exist totally to be supportive of the Air Force enlisted Servicemember. They teach leadership world affairs and how to relate to people, along with military issues. Each is designed for particular group of enlisted people at a different experience and grade level.
Leadership School- This is an enlisted entry-level school, after having been in the service for a specific length of time The leadership school for Airmen helps take Airmen and train them for Senior Airmen leadership billets. The roles of military supervisors, and their contribution are examined, as well as the mission of the Air Force, and its goals. It deals with profession of arms, communication in both oral and written formats, and how to be an effective leader and motivate people. It is a school that must be done if you are to advance from Airmen or Senior Airmen to Staff Sergeant. NCO Academy- The NCO Academy is a six-week course of instruction and it has much of the same information as the other leaderships schools,

but it makes a person able to advance to higher rank. It is a stepping stone to making Master sergeant, and a little more detailed.
