Babil Courthouse Assists In Rule Of Law

November 26, 2008 By admin

New Facility Assists With Keeping Security And Peace

Each time there is a new facility, be it a police station or courthouse, or even a forward Joint Security station completed in Iraq, it helps to support and bolster the rule of law. The new, $7 million dollar courthouse that will be completed in the town of Babil next spring is a good example of this.

The judges and court workers who live in Babil have a good relationship with the people of the area, but there have been many years of neglect, and under the rein of Saddam Hussein the rule of law was pretty much non existent, so the community has been a little slow to fully embrace the process.

But the community is coming around, as they observe that things are being ran fairly and that people receive the same type of justice for different crimes and offenses. This is all new to the nation of Iraq, and the fair treatment is very well received by the community at large.

All buildings that are being created across Iraq also feature air conditioning, and this is another thing that the community is grateful for, this is not something that as a rule has been featured in facilities and public buildings in the past.

The New courthouse will have many new public areas, all which are scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2009.
