Can You Believe It… A Military Only Resort In The Swiss Alps

If you are looking for a vacation in the Swiss Alps, there is a location that is exclusively reserved for Servicemembers and their families.? It is a world class well known resort, and is one that many Servicemembers and their families are not very aware.

The resort and lodge at Edelweiss is a retreat vacation spot that is reserved for DoD military Servicemembers, DoD civilians and retired veterans It is a complete resort, and features Alpine Vistas and is a summer and winter premiere sports center The Partenkirchen-Garmisch area is known for its skiing and winter sports especially.

Patrons that can visit the Edelweiss Resort and Lodge include military retirees, reservists on active duty, national guardsmen on active duty, and active duty Servicemembers and their families. It is not too far away from Munich, Germany, located about fifty-six miles away. It is also just about thirty-four miles from Innsbruck, and it is a place like none other in the world.? It delivers an authentic and real alpine adventure that is sure to be remembered for many years.

There is a lot to do at the Edelweiss Resort and Lodge. Hiking, skiing and mountain climbing are features year round, and there are health spas and saunas, also available year round. The Edelweiss Lodge and Resort sponsors a number of music festivals each year where groups from around Europe travel and perform for the guests of the lodge.

Located in the heart of South Germany, you can relax at the Edelweiss because guides and tour personnel all speak English readily, so the language is not a barrier.? Tour buses depart daily seven days a week to different area designations, including several authentic German castles in the region. The Edelweiss is in the Alps of Bavaria, and because it is a location that is reserved exclusively for military Servicemembers and their families finding a vacancy is never a problem.

The Edelweiss Resort and Inn has a number of ski runs close by, and several runs that are open to snowboarding. The world famous Neuschwanstein Castle located in nearby Schwangau is available for tours, as well as a plethora of other locations of historic interest.

There are a number of activities including snowboarding, hiking, and alpine skiing that are abundant and available for the tourist who visits the Edelweiss Resort and Inn. The castle at Neuschwanstein is available to tour; it is located nearby in Schwangau. There are other areas that have a lot of history within a short trip, and tour buses run to several historical local sites.

    I can’t believe the waste of tax payer money.

    Dod is nuts. Congress bitches about not having money to fund health care for millions and yet billions are wasted on dod pork projects.

    Sure I don’t expect you to post this, that would not be the American way, of listening to the people who pay the bills.
