ISF Soldiers Given Instructions On Checkpoint Methods
The training for Iraq National Security Police has been improving, and there are a number of different specific techniques that they have been learning at the hands of the coalition. The methods that the Iraqi Security Forces have used up to now have been taught by the Coalition, but much has been basic combat and security training.
Coalition Soldiers make a point to regularly visit different checkpoints, and the new methods that have been given to the ISF forces have been successful, turning up more hidden explosives as well as making the traffic that proceeds through the checkpoints safer and more secure.
The checkpoints are operating under Iraqi control, and it has been a successes, with the different checkpoints being operated more and more successfully as well as having more efficiency.
More or less the checkpoints are now ran entirely by the Iraqi Security Forces, and the methods that the Iraqi National police have been taught have been directly successful in getting more and more insurgents discovered.
The Iraqi security teams are no longer having to be shown how to deal with different security situations, but they are able to function independently, and their efforts are allowing them to make additional connections with the community.
The Iraqi Police have a better and better understanding with the local citizens, and the support of the citizens enable the checkpoints to run and function smoother, as well as making Iraq safer.
