Coalition Assists In Education Future

October 1, 2008 By admin

Iraqi Facilities Rebuilt And Support Given To Education Efforts

One of the best areas in the rebuilding of Iraq has been dealing with schools and issues in support of children. The Marines with the regiment Combat Team 1, 2nd Marine Regiment, 1st Battalion, Company recently met different school officials to talk about different continuing support and needs of the children.

They have met with different school officials in support of kids, having worked to rebuild several of the area schools, and also brought in supplies on several occasions. The Community of Khalidiyah has joined together to support their education efforts and giving school a priority in the community that it didn?t have before.

Students are also enlisted in cleanup, organizing desks, and other different issues. The schools have been gradually improving, and they are now a source of pride for both the community, and also the coalition.

The Marines and the Iraq community have became a team in providing opportunities for the children, and the Marines are moved on a personal basis because its rewarding to be able to support children.

The desire to change the lives of children are motives that are universal, beyond any national or regional considerations.

Recently the US Marine Corps provided backpacks and school supplies for the schools, providing materials for the students for this school year in ways they haven?t been provided for in the past.
