Iraqi Security Members Recruit More Officers
The ability of the Iraqi Security Forces, both the Iraqi Army and The Iraqi National police to recruit has grown. They have a ready supply of applicants because the level of trust that has grown between the Iraqi citizens and the Iraqi ISF forces.
The coalition has supported Iraqi Forces across a variety of operations, and continues to give support for operations that are ongoing. The Iraqi Forces have maintained security in different regions, and have surprised the coalition with how well they have managed to keep security as a high operating level.
Because of this, the reputation for joining the Iraqi Security Forces has risen, and it is considered a good job among the general public. Many of the recruits that are serving in the ISF forces have started out with the Sons of Iraq, and the quality of the candidates has risen in the last 18 months considerable.
The coalition provides a variety of security for these recruitment efforts, as well as providing training at each step along the way. The coalition has trained police officers, and provides in depth training for the Iraqi Armed Forces.
The Iraqi Government has its own Iraqi Air Forces that are slowly training at their first government air base, the Al Muthana Air Base. These forces are trained by the coalition, and have progressed toward being able to maintain security operations on the long term.
