Army Engineers Construct New Electric Facility
The Iraqi nation has been undergoing a resurgence, both in security and in infrastructure. One of the best type of projects that have been under construction has been the electric installation across the country of different electric substation.
One of the projects has been the 132 kilovolt substation being installed by the US Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah province. The Army has worked to design and construct a large number of sub stations across Iraq, the area of Basrah being the latest on the installation schedule.
The project is costing about $8.8 million dollars, and will be the first of five different substations being put up in the region. The Basrah area has two substations that will be constructed and completed by the end of September, with the additional three substations being completed in November and December.
The projects involve evaluating, assessing, installing and even repairing different electrical systems in the region, and they will work together to allow electric power to serve the residents of the Al Garma district.
The Al Garma substation project was awarded to the US Army by the Iraqi authorities, and it will provide the ability to grow and prosper, as well as serving to get the ability for businesses and industry to grow.
The new substations will provide the electricity when at full capacity to serve the entire region, as well as supplying power to send to other provinces in the region.
