The United States Marine Corps – “First to Fight”
The Marine Corps is an ” amphibious, expeditionary, air-ground combined arms task force, capable of forcible entry from the air, land and sea.” They are critical to national security. The USMC is a component of the Department of the Navy.

The United States Navy – “Not self but country”
The United States Navy is the sea branch of the US Military Armed Forces. The US Navy is the largest in the world. They “maintain, train and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas.”

The United States Air Force – “Above All”
The Air Force stated mission is to “fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace”. The Force is trained and equipped for offensive and defensive flight operations. They are the aerial warfare branch of the US military.

The United States Army – “This we’ll defend”
It is the oldest established branch of the 5 U.S. Armed Forces and is the largest of the seven uniformed services. They are responsible for the land-based military operations of the US. They provide capabilities, forces and defense strategies that support our national security.

The United States Coast Guard – “Always Ready”
The US Coast Guard operates under the Department of Homeland Security during peacetime. In times of war, they can be transferred to the Department of the Navy. The Guard is responsible for maritime security, maritime law enforcement and search and rescue missions for any waterways which the United States holds interests in.
