The eyesight of every soldier in the United States Air Force is very important to make sure they will be able to complete their duties. If it is not possible to see properly, the airmen will be given the opportunity to see a physician who will help them to see clearly through corrective procedures including glasses or laser procedures. The job of the ophthalmic apprentice is to assist the optometrist in providing the best possible eyes care for every airman and their family.

Most people looking to pursue a career in optometry will have to go to college and pay out thousands of dollars. You will receive the training necessary to get started in your caree free of charge. In fact, you will be able to take furthering education classes for your career while you are working and not have to pay anything.
