Wikileaks has been taken down! They went too far in their efforts to be whistleblowers and a division of the business that was being targeted was able to pull enough strings and have the site taken down.

At least temporarily anyway... I understand that they site itself is still running on servers outside the US.

Another interesting development - the organization's hosting center in Sweden was also struck by a denial-of-service attack, after which a fire erupted in the center as well. Hhhhmmm.....

I'm not sure I agree with the mere existence of wikileaks - whistleblowers that have true issues can find legit venues for their problems without having to place their trust in a site like wikileaks. Wikileaks seems like more of a place allowing disgruntled individuals to vent and/or rant than a true "watchdog" entity helping people with real problems...

Who put Wikileaks in charge anyway?

just my 2cw!
