I understand that due to these cancellations people are becoming very irate. I myself am not a risk taker when it comes to situations out of my control. Therefore, I am glad these planes have been grounded so they can be inspected and properly repaired. I would not want to take any chances knowing that the MD-80's that have already been taken out of the skies have needed wiring repairs and whatnaut. It's definitely better to be safe than sorry! I can't believe how many cancellations that theirs been thus far (2,500). I do agree that American Airlines needs to get a better handle on the situation so there is'nt any added chaotic turmoil in the making. Travelers need to be refunded so they can find other means of getting to their next destination without any further delay!
