Default Basic Training

I am thinking of Joining the Marine Corps.

I have a few questions about basic training for the marines.

1. What is ALL of the requirements to become a marine. I looked on the site and it said I must have or be working towards a high shcool diploma.

2. I do physical training every day to become ready for the marines but around how many push ups is the maximum I should have to do in basic training.

3. If one of my friends is joining as well can we go through basic training togather.

JJBCarmel...

#1 YES, you must AT LEAST be working on, or already have a HS Diploma

#2 The PT standards for the Marines can be found here:

Marine RECON and MARSOC - Military Fitness - Military.com

#3 The option to ship to Basic together with a friend is something you would have to sit down and discuss with a recruiter.
