Boyfriend in the Army

My boyfriend is in the US Army, and has changed enormously as a person. Sometimes I find it a bit threatening. He's a young guy, but has made a significant shift in his attitudes and ideologies - to the right. And that's fine. So long as it's his own beliefs, and not someone else's.

I wonder if it's usual for beliefs to change so radically.

But I do greatly respect what he's doing.
