Default Helping people in need

This is unbelievable, while listening to the radio this afternoon I heard this shocking story. A lady and her husband was in an over-crowed restaurant eating, her husband began to choke on a piece of steak. Everyone in the restaurant was so consume with themselves, that no one took the time to ***ist her husband or to call for help. The lady drug her husband out of the chair onto the floor, while the people in the restaurant walked around them with their drinks, rendering no ***istance, ***uming that someone else would ***ist them. When someone finally called for help, the man had turned blue in the face and was dying. It took the ambulance 20-25 min. to get there, the man died when he arrived at the hospital. His wife was on the radio this afternoon talking about the incident and the horrible nightmares she's having from this horrifying ordeal.

Have some people turned so cruel and selfish that they're not ***isting those in need anymore?

Similar story seen on the news recently, with actual footage of it: man hit by a car, lying in the street (awake and moving, but still) and other pedestrians just walking up and down the street looking right at him, but going on about their business! How insane is that!? I would hope to think I would not be one of those people... and I hope to Heaven I nor my loved ones ever get hurt around a bunch of people like that!
