Well, the powers that be wanted me to introduce myself and so I shall. I'm a civilian with one son in the Army, currently in BT. Also a brother in the Army Reserves, and my dad, uncle, grandfather and a cousin are all veterans of various conflicts. I've done some civilian contracting with the Air Force in the past, but that's as close as I've gotten to personal participation. I plan to check in periodically to browse through some of the topics and I may need some information from time to time, since it's difficult to get timely info from my son and the info that I've gotten from his recruiter has been somewhat less than accurate so far.
If anyone has any questions that I can answer, I'll be happy to do that as well.

Come to think of it, I do have a question tonight. Could anyone recommend a motel near Fort Leonard Wood, MO. I'll be going to my son's BT graduation in early Nov, and I know of several places in St. Robert, but I've never been myself and wonder if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks in advance. Doc255
