Default Airlines Cutting Fuel Costs

On Delta you'll find yourself in a thinner lighter seat, JetBlue cross-country, you'll get a dainty bag of 100-calorie crisps in place of the original snack box of cookies, crackers and spreadable cheese.

To cut back on jet fuel prices, airlines are looking for ways to lighten the load, eliminating dead weight, from redundant wing lights to extra wires in the walls. The Manufacturers are using lighter materials in plane construction.

Should we be concerned?

I know I'm concerned because everything they do is not enough to offset the ridiculous cost of fuel these days, and that means that ultimately, we the ticket purchasing public, will have to pay more for those tickets, as we already are.

Something definitely has to be done about the rising fuel prices. The prices are effecting everything as well as everybody for that matter. I have been in search for relatively "discounted" airline tickets and have had no luck in finding any. I thought for sure if I planned my trip way in advance and tried to purchase tickets that I would come across some fairly descent ticket prices but to my dismay it was just wishful thinking on my part.
