Default What the Texas storms have left behind!!!!

The storms have come and gone and we are now left with alot of clean up and many people still without power such as myself as well as my neighbors. Glad to say my neighborhood sustained very little damage a few trees down here and there which have since been cleaned up. Wish I could say the same for the power. We are still left without any electricity. It has been over 36 hours It would'nt be so bad going home to a dark quiet house. I could really catch some z's but it is really hot and miserable. Hope the power is turned back on by the time I get home today. Please wish me luck!

You just never know with Texas, the weather changes just like our moods
I remember it snowed for like a day and a half and the next day, it was in the high 70's. I have family that lives in Utah and Chicago that get winter storms and like 5 ft of snow and they always make fun of us Texans cause we completly over react when we get a little 5 inches snow and the kid's don't have to go to school, stores close early, and busineses open up late, it's kind of funny when you think about
But I hope your power gets turned on Luv 2 laugh.

I hear what your saying. My dad was born and raised in Ohio and he would say the same thing to us as children when we would complain about the weather and it being cold (I grew up in California) he would tell us that we did'nt know what bad weather or cold meant. As a child he says they would still have to go to school when it snowed but if it got really really bad they would cancel school but that they would also have to make it up when the weather permitted. Meaning on a weekend or summertime. But anyway yes, our electricity was up and running by noon Saturday.

We're so programmed to the hot climates here in Texas, anything else blows our minds. We can
take off a half day for bad weather, and that afternoon the sun has melted the sheet of ice away.
