Default Age restriction?

Hi, I'm 29 and looking to enlist. I was wonderig if anyone knew if there is an age restriction if you have had no prior military experience. I've tried to request information but I live in Canada and can't get anything anywhere. Also, I am an American citizen and a trade qualification already if that helps. Thanks in advance!!

Well it depends on what branch you are enlisting into, and a simple phone call to a recruiter in whatever area would be closest to you in Canada would give you the answer you are looking for. There ARE age restrictions but they vary slightly from branch to branch, and from full time enlistment to part time reserves. Google something like army recruiting or navy recruiting and you'll find a bunch of sites that will have the recruiter locations and phone numbers. Good Luck.

I thought that you had to be either 18 or out of school. I think like some people graduate at 17. I think they are able to join then.

If you already have the courage to serve the country, I think there's no reason if you're not be qualified.

I think that it shouldn't either maybe they would stop taking all of our young kids and take more of these adults who actually want to join.

It used to be that you could enlist up to the age of 34.

Default age limit

Currently right now for the Army you can be 17, with parent consent, up to the age of 42. If you live in canada maybe thats why you can not get any info. All of our lead request systems will not respond to someone outside the US. If you have any more questions feel free to email me.
