About that, getting a green card for the sole purpose of joining the army seems highly unlikely. I don't know if you have read up on all the information as of what to do next.

From what I can tell the only way of getting a green card would be through the green card lottery as referred to on the website as "Immigration Through the Diversity Lottery". Giving you a lesser probability if you are currently missing any form of higher education and have no current means of supporting your self other then work in your current country (which I would ***ume is the case for most young people today with out a college degree). It makes sense since I agree with the idea that any person willing to emigrate to America should be willing and have the means to support him/her self. However It seems like the odds and rules (of the lottery organizer) against you if you decide to apply for a green card for the sole purpose of joining the army am I right?

Hello everyone! I'm new here!
It's VERY hard to get a Green Card((( you can wait for a very long time before you get it. I know a person who is trying to get a Green Card during 5 years!!
I'd like to join USMC Infantry VERY MUCH but I don't know how to do it without green card...
Can anyone give me some pieces of advice about joining USMC without Green Card?? It is very important for me!

Dear Tobey:
Yes I have read up on what it takes to get a green card, what it takes to become a citizen and everything involved with those processes. I also field a huge number of these questions asking just that very thing - how can I enlist if I live in BFE and not the US? How can I enlist if I'm not a citizen? How can I enlist if I already know I CAN'T?!

I expect all of these individuals to do the research and self educate themselves. There are not enough hours in the day to explain every step of the process, and every possible extenuating cir***stance, to every person who asks the exact same question when we have already answered that question over and over and over again previously.

We hope you understand - we are not trying to make it sound easy - we just expect people to make some effort, especially when our repeated information goes unheeded.
