Becoming a Navy Field Medic
So, I am new to this forum and was hoping someone could answer a few questions. I have trouble turning thoughts into text, so please bear with me.
I am an 18 year old student who is trained as an EMT-B and I love it, to me there is no greater service than aiding those who lives are in danger. While I could go on, furthering my training pretty contently, I can't help but feel as though there would be nothing more rewarding than utilizing my training (and more) to help the soldiers who are fighting for the betterment of the world. If that sounds idealistic; I am 18, I am aloud to be. Unfortunately I can not find much information on the subject and do not no of any navy recruiters near by (and to be honest I am concerned about the salesman-esque pitch that I have heard given to my peer so many times).
So...
1) I was hoping someone could direct me to some good resources
2) What are the odds of actually being able to move in a medical direction if I were to enlist in the Navy?
3) If *** goes well with number two, what would be the odds of then being allowed to work with the Marines? While it is not entirely necessary, I do know myself and beleive I would thrive more in the Marine type environment.
4) anything you would like to add!
Thanks in advance and sorry if I seem ignorant on the subject. Unfortunately it is very hard to do research on anything in the area I live, do to lack of public resources.
