Hi.I wonder if anybody can give me an advice.I am an Asian and I just came here in America. I have an immigrant status thru employement. I wanted to work in the military as a nurse. How can I work this thing out?
My US employer petitioned me to work here as a nurse. But along the way we got a little problem.
After i completed all the do***ents, I handed it to the US emb***y of my country. A week later, I received a call from an agent in the emb***y asking me to submit a new copy of my job offer from my employer and it should be submitted on/ before the last day of November or else i wouldn't be given a visa. I immediately phoned my employer asking for a new copy of the said do***ent, but they would not send me the said do***ent unless I sign a new contract. the new contract would include new rules and that includes a cash bond- they are asking for a $20,000 cash bond so that they can guarantee that I wouldn't breech the contract. Our communications is thru phone or emails. I didn't send the cash bond and I decline to sign the new contract because I don't see any reason why I need to have a new one. i had my contract with them when I signed in for the 1st time in that agency!I felt so hopeless...To my surprise, my visa arrived despite my not submitting the job offer the caller asked me. I was about to inform my employer that I received the visa but I read his email stating not to contact them any longer. Accdg to the agency, they will contact me once they can resolve the issue and change the contract and negotiate a bond for all immigrant nurses so we cannot breech the contract...So, I opted not to inform them.
My relatives here in the States advised me to come over here since I already have my visa, and that's why I immediately departed my country.
10 days after my arrival in the US, my green card arrived but it was addressed to my employer. By that time he already knew that I was here in the US and was so mad about not informing them of my arrival. He emailed to me stating that i should contact him in his cel #. He also state that if I will not respond after 3 days he will notify their law firm to fila a fraud and to terminate my permanent residence with US immigration and homeland Security to serve my arrest in the US. i don't see any fraud there..it was just I failed to contact them when I come here.
I called him to settle the issue. He said to me that I should wait for my job placement weeks after my SSN is issued. It's been my 20th day here and until now i stl haven't got the work!!!Will I wait until they call me for a job!!It's so much waste of a time.
