Default What are the next steps to take?

Hello,

I am new here, but for quite a while now I have been considering AF ROTC (since about fifth grade). Right now, I am a sophmore in highschool and I am taking all honors and AP courses (My school is selective enrollment and only offers honors and AP courses).

I have been frequenting afrotc.com and I was wondering, if I know that this is what I want to do, should I still see an Air Force recruiter?

Also, do I need to take the ASVAB test? My school does not administer it, so how would I go about doing this? (Through my local recruiter? Or do I go through my school advisor?) Is this only a test for those who wish to enlist after highschool? (I searched afrotc.com and the search had no returns.)

Also, I plan on continuing my Chinese language study in college. Along with finance, economics and maybe journalism. Would the recruiter have information regarding the need for a person with undergraduate degrees in these?

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing your responses.
Melissa

Sorry it took us so long to get back to you! We took a few days off around here...

Yes you would still want to see a recruiter. They may know things that will save you time and legwork, and they would be how you would take the ASVAB and whether or not it applies to your specific situation. It would definitely be a good idea to get with a recruiter!

Good Luck to you!
