I just learned about a program in which the US Air Force is delivering (sometimes air dropping) humanitarian aid to extremely remote villages and communities in Afghanistan. The supplies were mostly tents, shoes and coats for the winter months there. Many of the children were walking around without those two basic items, and were attending school cl***es in an open snow covered field recently. With the tents they will be able to have some basic shelter from the elements for their cl***es, and the children will be able to keep warm whilst attending! The supplies being dropped and delivered were purchased and donated by US charities, not the US government. It is nice to know we, collectively as the US Military, are overseas able to help others rather than being overseas just fighting a war no one wants. (don't get me wrong - I TOTALLY support our military no matter how I feel about the war)
Kudos to you Air Force!
