I'm giving away my age, but I still think of Bob Hope when I think of USO shows!

A little off topic, but speaking of USO shows, I saw a do***entary recently about WWII, specifically about Bataan. I found it amusing (maybe it isn't) but in interviews with two of the several surviving servicemen they talked to, they recalled USO shows they had seen. These two men in particular were absolutely incensed and outraged that such a display should take place. How dare they bring in women to dance and shake themselves in front of hundreds of men who hadn't seen a woman in literally 1 or 2 years? I was amused and thought to myself "com'on buddy lighten up!"
