Default Pricey haircut = good cause

A couple of crazy guys...

Sgt. Jeremy Murphy (left), of Mobile, Ala., and Sgt. Kenneth Payne, of Arlington, Texas, show off their new haircuts March 8 at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad. The two managed to raise $1,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation with their new styling hair - or therein lack of it. Both serve as team supervisors with Company C, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Nathaniel Smith, 4th BCT PAO, 1st Inf. Div., MND-B)
BAGHDAD, Iraq - With Soldiers showing signs of stress, trying to stay focused so close to the end of a long deployment, two noncommissioned officers felt they had to do something to raise morale.

So on a whim March 7, Sgt. Jeremy Murphy, of Mobile, Ala., and Sgt. Kenneth Payne, of Arlington, Texas, decided to shave their heads bald to get a few laughs - what they actually ended up achieving was raising $1,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Cool story! This just goes to show us that our troops will stop at nothing for a good cause. :-)

That's great! I was watching Montel this morning and I saw a girl cut off 11inches of her hair to donate to Locks of love foundation. I have been letting my hair grow for about 2 years and it's very long and thick, so when I do decide to cut it, I'm really going to consider a foundation to give back.

Both of my daughters have done that - each one of them is about due for another "clip" for Locks for Love!
