Need Information on Emb***y Duty

Hello Everyone!
I am wondering if anyone out there knows anything about emb***y duty. My husband is considering doing this after we leave our current duty station and I am wondering what it will entail for myself and our son and if it is the right choice for our family.
We just had our boy this year, Jan 08, and I'm hesitant about taking him to live in a foriegn country. My questions about emb***y duty are general ranging from:
-what is family life like for the spouse and children?
-do the dependants seek medical care within the emb***y or out in the civilian sector?
-can you take your family pet along?
-do you get to take your household goods?
I know answers for these questions many vary because life at different emb***ies are surly not the same.
If anyone out there has done emb***y duty anywhere or known anyone else who has, please reply.
