Military dependents

I have a son who joined the Navy a few years ago and did not disclose that had a son out of wedlock for which whom he was given a paternity test and was found tobe the biological father. Is this fraudulent enlistment? To me it is. My son is paying child support ordered by our state and paying the state back for all the care the states gave to his son. But, when he signed the contract and answered if he had any dependents he said no but, when he finished basic and a school he enrolled his son in deers. I just don't want him to get into trouble.
