Free ACT – SAT Testing Program Benefits

April 30, 2008 By admin

Many Servicemembers and their families are headed for college and universities as they continue to pursue a higher education, and as many people are aware of, in order to be admitted to different educational programs it is necessary to take a standardized test, normally the SAT or the ACT test. These tests not only test knowledge but the ability to solve problems, and the results are a valuable indicator of how well a student will be able to perform and accomplish tasks in the future. It goes without question to say that the better that a person can do on such tests, the better they will be able to reach their educational and life goals.

The players of the National Football League have started a program to assist Servicemembers who wish to receive study material for the ACT and SAT tests. The program is a new one and offers free test study materials to utilize in study for these tests. The eKnowledge Corporation was funded with grants from the players association of the NFL to help prospective military students and family members studying for the SAT/ACT tests. In 2006, the players association donated $7 million dollars for the testing support program, and in 2007 they funded the grant with eKnowledge with donations totally over $10 million dollars. These donations also have a promise to continue into the future, as this is a program taken very seriously by the NFL players and one enjoying broad success.

Each of the sponsored study packages issued by the eKnowledge foundation has different interactive DVD and CD Rom disks and software. They are set up in a graduated, individual approach to studying for the ACT and SAT tests, and each of the packets are valued at around $200 hundred dollars.

The families of the Servicemembers benefiting from the study materials have expressed their satisfaction and gratitude with thousands of letters to the eKnowledge Corporation and the NFL players. A former US Marine, Charles P. Beall, heads the eKnowledge Corporation.

“Everyone at the eKnowledge Corporation feels appreciation and respect for the sacrifices made by military Servicemembers and their families,” said Mr. Beall. “We are pleased to be able to offer the program for their honorable and courageous service, and to say a hearty Thank You for their service to their country.” Said Beall.
