Great Career as a US Marine AAV Crewman

October 17, 2010 By admin

One of the greatest things about being enlisted in the United States Marine Corps is that they are first on the scene. Making sure that the troops can enter through multiple directions is possible because of the different vehicles which are used to deliver troops and equipment to the battle zones. Among the necessary vehicles are the Amphibious Assult Vehicles (AAVs). These are able to bring troops and equipment ashore, but they require expert operators in order to make sure that they are being used correctly.

What You Will Do

When you work as an AAV crewman, you will be asked to work in one of three different positions. Each position includes its own specific job:
– AAV Trac Commander ? In charge of leadership and maintenance of the AAV and the crew.
– AAV Driver ? You will be in charge of making sure that the AAV is moving towards the correct destination as well as making sure that weapons systems are being used correctly.
– AAV Rear Crewman ? Operates equipment used to deploy troops and equipment ad well as the weapons used to protect them.
