Great Job as a US National Guard Radio Operator/Maintainer

Communication is very important in any organization. It is the lifeblood which makes sure that all parts of the system knows what the other part is doing. It is one of the many things which make sure that the United States National Guard is one of the strongest fighting forces in the world. Behind all of the communication are radios. Making sure that these devices are used properly is the job of a few well trained specialists.


What You Will Do


When you work as a radio operator/maintainer in the USNG, you will be in charge of using and maintaining all radio equipment. You will follow protocol when communicating troop position to the rest of the force. You will also be in charge of making sure that the equipment you are using remains in peak operating performance. You will be able to troubleshoot problems as well as perform regular maintenance to keep the equipment in peak operational condition.

Training for Your Position


Like any other job in the USNG, you will get the training so that you will be able to do your job well. You will be trained as a soldier and as a specialist who understands how to work with the radio equipment you are assigned to.
