Hospital Air Force Patient Administration

The Air Force hospital patient administration billet is a career field that deals with managing personnel, and one that directly assists people. A Medical Patient Administrator works to assist people and manage personnel, programs and help to ensure the smooth running and efficient delivery of services to patients at a military Air Force medical facility. You will assist at facilities such as; Medical Facility commands, both base operations and mobile commands, and other types of medical facilities.

The Medical services profession is one that is constantly under change, so training in this field will allow you to work in a number of different health care related areas in the civilian sector. You will interact and be responsible for duties such as; Medical research and medical health care support, health care systems design plans, training and education health care support, resource medical planning, and medical procedure codification and construction support. In addition you will work in date system designs, wartime planning and emergency support, medical facility management and military service teams, support and medical recruiting, and biometrics and data design support. As a trained candidate for this position after you receive your 4-year degree you have to attend training at an Officers Candidate School, and upon your commission you will receive additional training to become a Medical Patient administrator. You will work in a number of different areas including support, education, health planning, logistics, health care and patient and hospital administration. This career field is on that involves dealing with all different types of people, if you are a people person then this may be a good career field for you. You may work also in evacuation and Aeromedical support facilities as an indirect patient administrator. To qualify for the job of a Military Air Force Health Care Administrator you have to be inside of 12 months of graduation toward a health care or related 4-year degree.
