Information on Specific National Guard Jobs

March 14, 2011 By admin

Are you interested in obtaining as much information as you can on specific National Guard jobs? Anybody who is interested in joining this elite branch should definitely collect as much info as they can. After all, this is a decision that is going to change your life forever. If you are not careful, you could miss out on a career in the National Guard ? and that would be a mistake you would regret for a long time.

If you want to pick up specific information on National Guard jobs you can do so in a number of ways. For instance, you can request a free information packet online. This will give you basic information on joining the National Guard as well as other branches of the military.

Are you really serious about joining? In this case, take the time to schedule an appointment with a local recruiter. This is a big step, but one that you will eventually have to take. Make sure you talk with your recruiter about anything that has been on your mind. A recruiter can answer all your questions related to jobs, training, pay, and anything else that you have been wondering about.

To get a better idea of what the National Guard has to offer, take a strong look at these career fields: infantry, armor and field artillery, aviation, medical, military police, transportation, logistics support, mechanic and maintenance, signal and military intelligence, engineer, administrative, interpreter/translators, and Special Forces.

Which one of these National Guard career paths are of interest to you? There is a good chance that more than one gets your blood flowing. In that case, you have even more decisions to make.

Once you have an idea of which career path is best, you need to focus on the jobs available within each one. For example, administrative jobs in the National Guard include: civil affairs specialist, paralegal specialist, human resources specialist, financial management technician, public affairs specialist, and public affairs broadcast specialist among many others.

As you attempt to select the perfect National Guard job there are a few things you need to keep in mind. Above all else, do something that you will love. It does not matter what other people think. If you choose a career path that you will enjoy nothing else matters.

Also, consider how much training you will have to go through. Every member of the National Guard must complete 10 weeks of Basic Training. From there, it is time for Advanced Individual Training that can range from a few weeks to a year or longer. Are you willing to put that much timer into training?

This information should open your eyes to which National Guard jobs are best for you. The only thing left is to collect detailed information and make a decision!
