New Program For Teaching English And Arabic Fundamentals
Many children in Iraq are working hard every day to learn and they are fast changing the face of the future of Iraq. But many of the adults in Iraq do not know how to read and write, and this has in many ways hampered efforts to build and expand Iraq as a nation.
There is a new program to assist older adult Women in Iraq with learning to write and read Arabic, and also to teach the fundamentals of reading and writing English. This new literacy program is one that will teach illiterate women to read and write, and it is being hailed as a great new educational effort.
The program has three different levels. The first one is for students that do not know how to write or to read at all. This is the beginning program, and it is well received by the students that are participating in it.
The second level is for those that can read and write Arabic but are not yet proficient. Using this program is helping people who are not that far from being proficient, but who need additional assistance to become literate.
Finally the third level is for those people who are already proficient in Arabic reading and writing but who wish to learn and become proficient in English. This program will be used to help propel Iraqi into the modern world, as English is the language used internationally for business and international commerce.
