Whenever facing an enemy, there are likely to be several different targets that you will need to acquisition. Firing one at a time will not allow you to be able to handle all of the targets in time to make a difference. This is why the United States Army has Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRSs) available for use. These have the ability to target multiple targets at once as well as firing multiple rockets at once. It is important that these systems are in good repair at all times.
What You Will Do
You will be an essential part of the maintenance team which works on and maintains the MLRS equipment. You will be in charge of maintaining and repairing not just the electrical and mechanical equipment. You will also be in charge of making sure that you are testing cables and breakout boxes. You will also need to maintain and review the logs for the equipment as well as all of the repairs which have happened with the MLRS equipment.
Get the Training
You will go through the standard basic training along with all of the rest of the recruits. Additionally, you will go through 19 weeks and 2 days of advanced training at the Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. You will also have to meet the requirements for and obtain a Secret security clearance in order to be able to work in this position.
