Iraqi Army Achievements Honored At Taji Wheeled Maintenance
The coalition has worked very hard over the last 2 to 3 years to train and help Iraq and its citizens rebuild. As they have trained military and police personnel, the coalition is almost like proud parents, watching as their children grow up and leave the next.
Recently members of the Iraqi Army and the Iraqi National maintenance soldier teams were honored for their fine service and professionalism by both the Coalition and the Government of Iraq. Members of the local government presented Iraqi Maintenance team leaders with a plaque and a certificate of achievement for their fine work.
The maintenance unit has worked hard to learn to perform as a team, and their efforts have been recognized, they are able to perform level III diagnostics and wheeled vehicle repair, ever since June 1st when the Iraqi Army first took over security for this region.
Members of the Iraqi Maintenance team stood at attention proudly as they listened to speakers, and as dignitaries from the Iraq government toured their ranks.
One of the military dignitaries that attended the awards ceremony was Iraq Staff General Nasier Abadi.
General Abadi is the Deputy commander and Deputy Chief of Staff for the entire Iraqi Military, and was feted as the guest of honor at the festivities.
Coalition Brigadier General Muniem also attended, and had nothing but praise for the Iraqi Maintenance team members for their excellent performance.
