Lowe’s Home Improvement Has Expanded its New Military Discount

May 11, 2017 By larryf

Lowe’s has always been a rather friendly company when it comes to the military. They hire veterans for key positions and have offered many military discounts throughout the years.
Recently, they announced they are expanding their military discount program to include all honorably discharged veterans. These veterans will receive a 10% discount all year long when shopping at a Lowe’s retail store or online. In addition, the discount is good for all currently serving U.S. military members.

In order to qualify, you do need to register online and request a free MyLowes card. This can be done at lowes.com/military and this isn’t a credit or debit card. The card also entitles you to free parcel shipping.

The 10% discount is also good for any immediate family members including spouses or dependent children up to age 18 of active duty military or veterans.

The Old Discount

The old discount offered by Lowe’s was only good for active-duty service members, veterans getting benefits from the VA and retired military. Honorably discharged veterans only received discounts on Memorial Day, Veterans Day and July 4th.

Requirements of the New Military Discount Program

The new military discount program from Lowe’s does come with a few requirements:

? You must currently be serving, be a veteran or be an immediate family member of a U.S. military service member or veteran.
? You have to enroll in the program online to verify eligibility.
? The discount cannot be used for any previous sales before you enrolled or for the purchase of gift cards or services, such as installations.

? The discount won’t be combined with other promotions, discounts or coupons including the Lowe’s Low Price Guarantee.
? All active members of the US Army, US Marine Corps, US Air Force, US Navy, National Guard and US Coast Guard are eligible.
? All veterans including those retired, discharged (honorable, general or under honorable condition) are eligible for the discount.
If you’d like to take advantage of the new military discount from Lowe’s you can sign up online here.
