What You Will Do
You will be working to help others in case they might become injured as well as preventing injury and death by being first on the scene when a problem occurs. The kind of work you will be doing will depend on the rating that you are assigned to. You might be in charge of helping the individuals involved in the incident. You might be involved in safeguarding to make sure that equipment or vehicles do not pose a further problem to the safety of the personnel in the immediate future.
Get the Training
In order to make sure that you know what you are doing, you will have to go through A school training associated with the rating that you have been assigned to. You will learn how to take charge of any situation and provide the best possible help to those in need. You will be given training which will be both in a classroom as well as in hands-on training. As you progress in your career, you will be given extra training to help make sure you can do your job to the best of your ability.
