Necessary Job as a Shower/Laundry and Clothing Repair Specialist in the US Army

There are many different aspects of the United States Army which are necessary to the daily activities which go on within the bases and the units. One of the necessary things which have to happen is that the personnel needs to have laundry that they can wear as they go about their duties. Whenever you work as a shower/laundry and clothing repair specialist, you will make sure that they will have what they need.


What You Will Do


Whenever you are working in this specialized field of the US Army, you will have to go through all of the bags and make sure that the clothing which is supposed to be inside of the bag is there. You will also need to be able to perform alterations, repairs and removal of stains. You will also be responsible for many of the machines that you will use on a daily basis in the commission of your responsibilities.

Get the Training


To Make sure that you will know what you are doing, you will go through more than just the basic training that all enlisted personnel goes through. You will also go through eight weeks of advanced individual training. Here you will learn the basic skills which will help you to get started in your career. You will learn much more as you are completing your duties.

    The first post is correct. You have to coletpme 3 APFT task to pass, a certain amount of situps, pushups and a 2 mile run. The two things that female soldiers seem to find the most uncomfortable is the ruck during road marches and pull ups. So if you can pad your kidney pad and properly pack the ruck that will help and while you practice the big 3 throw in a full pull ups you’ll be fine. The only other thing you might have to adjust to is loud commands. Drill Sargent’s have very big voices so get use to that as well
