Najaf Receives New International Airport
Iraq has focused on building infrastructure over the last several months, and one of the largest projects has been the new Najaf International Airport. The overall progress of the nation toward reconstruction has been boosted by the establishment of the new International Airport. There will be competition from other provinces now that Najaf received their Airport, and the airport will be a strong element against terrorism, and part of making Iraq truly a free nation.
The Najaf Airport is a place of new business and it will bring both investment and tourism eventually to the region. The Coalition forces given to reconstruction efforts have been devoted to ensuring that the terror elements do not gain a strong hold in the region. This has led to new brokered friendship between members of the coalition, as well a between the citizens and the Iraqi Security Forces.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony the Iraqi prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki met with the community, and spoke to cheering citizens as he welcomed the newest airport to Iraq.
Citizens are excited about the potential for new business, travel and tourism. It will also provide a number of additional jobs and opportunities for employment.
The Airport will also allow for easier and faster access to different elements of the Iraqi Security Forces to the community. By opening an international airport, the Iraqi Government is seeking to showcase how much more normal the current situation in Iraq has become.
