The United States Army is responsible for protecting the interests of America as well as other foreign nations that America has been sworn to protect. In protecting these interests, there are different forces which will need to be infiltrated and overcome. It is important that the troops heading into battle know what they are up against. This is why the job of the cavalry scout is so important.
What You Will Do
You will be in charge of making sure that you go ahead of the rest of your unit to scout out the trail that you will be travelling as well as the opposition you will be facing. You will report back to the unit command everything that you see so that proper preparations can be made once the unit gets there. You will use devices like binoculars and other scanning materials to identify what is ahead.
Get the Training
In addition to the regular basic training that you will go through as an enlisted personnel member, you will go through additional training to meet the needs of your position. The training that you will receive will help to launch your career which will help you to gain the recognition that you will need to advance in rank and in your career in the United States Army. You will be able to receive further training as you advance in your career.
