US Military Educational Benefits Makes Your Dreams Come True

September 16, 2014 By larryf

If you ask many military personnel about their academic background in the US, you realize that some of them have degrees and PhDs. You ask yourself how they managed to juggle between the military and colleges. US military has a unique plan that allows servicemen to study while at the same time serve the country. In fact, the US Military educational benefit makes your dream come true.

The US holds education in military in high esteem. That is why it has taken care of its own by offering Reserve, active and National guard service members, dependent, spouses and the retirees various educational benefits. You can be in an active service or attained the veteran tag, but still get the opportunity.
The single most benefit is that if you are still an active military personnel, the benefits include University loan repayments programs. With this, even if you do not have the full amount to pay the tuition fee, the military takes upon itself to offer you this great help so that you become an intellectual in any field you love. You also get the tuition assistance that help a student military get a degree while serving.

The other benefit is the GI Bill used for the advanced degree when you come out of active duty. For those who qualify for this new bill, you can do a transfer of benefits to children and spouses. The retirees for those who have hanged up the boots, they benefit from the new GI Bill, veterans upward program and assistance, dependents and survivors education assisting programs, and the Montgomery GI Bill active or buy up programs.

Yellow Ribbon plan it is one of the less known plans. If you want to enroll in a private university, you must ensure it has enrolled in the Yellow Ribbon plan. If it has enrolled, the VA will pay for tuition in your courses equal to the amount paid to the public universities. The Yellow ribbon will then pay one-half of the remainder. VA pays additional fees equal to what the college paid. In this arrangement, you find yourself paying a little money from your pocket.

Any military person on active duty can use these education benefits when they are off-duty by going to classes or doing online classes. But some people who want to fast track their lessons have to use ECE tests, DSST or the CLEP that allow them earn credits on their degree. It is done through test outs in different classes and course.
With this plan, you reduce the time needed to be in class. Other benefits being in the military does not mean that you are tied there. You can study for your dream career because there are great plans to do so. When you complete your education through the military systems, you become an expert.

For example, there are doctors in the military. Many military personnel are sent to various places as experts to help people. For those posted in Bahrain in special events, they have to get the Bahrain visa that allows them move easily from one area to the next without the fear of harassment.
