Women Work as a Navy Fire Control Technician

The United States Navy is an equal opportunity employer as many of the women who have already joined the service can tell you. The amount of jobs available are wide open depending on what it is you would like to do with your service in the US Navy. One of the jobs which many women are considering is that of the Fire Control Technician. In this job, you will be fulfilling one of the many important jobs which makes the US Navy one of the most feared Navies in the world.


What You Will Do


The United States Navy uses awesome firepower to maintain dominance in the regions that they are assigned to. This firepower must be able to locate and arrive at its destination each and every time it is used. It is the job of those working as a fire control technician to make sure that the weapons being fired will have the ability to hit their targets. This is done through the most up to date computer systems and weapons which have been properly targeted by skilled personnel.

Get the Training


In order to fill this position, you will go through basic training along with all of the rest of the personnel. You will then go through specialized training in which you will learn everything you will need to know to do your job.
