If you want to join the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or National Guard, there are 2 things you can do that can make it easier for you.
Get in Shape: Boot camp, otherwise known as Basic Training, is extremely difficult. If you?ve ever watched a movie that showed any bit of basic training, then you may think you have an idea what it?s like. But you?ll be put to physical tests you probably never even imagined.
The moment you start even thinking about joining the military, you should start your physical fitness training in earnest. And while it?s usually advised that you start slow and build up, if you?re preparing for boot camp, start as hard as you can stand it and work up from there. The better your physical shape when you start, the easier it will be. But it will still be difficult.
Study: Basic training isn?t all about physical conditioning. You?re tested mentally, too. In fact, you have take tests when you apply to join the military. The higher your scores, the more opportunities will be available to you. Some military jobs, for instance, require certain scores on those tests, so study and give yourself every advantage in the military.
