Farmers In Zambraniyah Receive Help From Joint Forces
The crops and farming in the Zambraniyah region got a boost last Friday when the soldiers of the 3rd Infantry, 2nd BCT, 30th Infantry Regiment, Company B aided with fertilizer delivery.
Nearly 180 bags, nearly 20 tons of much needed fertilizer was given to the farmers and distributed at the Zambraniyah Community Center. The farmers and the Zambraniyah city farmer’s council will take care of spreading it to different area farmers, in order to benefit the whole community.
“This delivery of fertilizer is a practical way to help the community and something that we enjoy a great deal,” said Private First Class Day. Pfc Day is a member of Company B.
Soldiers from both Coalition battalions and Iraqi National Army troops have assisted in the community, and the main thrust is now toward rebuilding rather than security. The security is greatly improved, and the community is benefiting from the joint efforts of soldiers to help rebuild the entire Zambraniyah community.

The Farmers Council had requested assistance and met with coalition troops, and the fertilizer delivery promises to be just the first in a series of efforts aimed at helping the community. The Farmers Council had their main headquarters recently rebuild and restored due to Coalition efforts, and the efforts of the coalition and the Sons of Iraq have worked to restart many farming type operations in the region.
