Military service and military careers will endow you with certain qualities.
1. You’ll learn the value of honesty and integrity. While you may already know these values and there are other places you can learn them, learning them while in the military is a unique perspective and experience. Communication is prized in the military, because without it the unit falls apart. You’ll also see yourself honestly as you struggle to live up to the military’s ideals.
2. You’ll learn the value of excellence. Whether you’re in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or National Guard, only the very best at all times is acceptable.
3. You’ll learn character. Honestly and excellent are parts of this, but there’s more to developing a good character. Dependability, compassion, empathy ?these are all parts of a good character. Nothing shapes character quite like service in the US military, and knowing that your teammates rely on you to protect their lives, just as you rely on them to protect yours.
4. You’ll learn pride. People have pride in themselves for a variety of reasons, some of them false. When you feel pride about your military jobs, you’ll have earned that pride with sweat and struggle, and it will be real.
earning pride by sweating and struggle means everything tome. although i prefer being honest always while in the army service.
