Weapons Caches And Assistance To Area Regions Yielded
Recently there was an aerial strike on a number of locations near Ramadi. The strike was commissioned by the ISF forces, and was successful in capturing 4 different insurgents that have been sought by ISF and coalition forces for some time now.
The Coalition provided the aircraft, and the mission was planned by Iraqi Security force members. It was successful for several reasons. One reason it was successful was that it marks a continuation of the professionalism by the ISF forces, and their confidence and experience in being able to plan successful military air and ground strikes.
Members of the Coalition accompanied the Iraqi Security Forces and they raided 4 different locations, and in 2 of these locations the raid was successful, capturing 1 insurgent at one site, and 3 other insurgents at the other.
There was additional coalition air support that was hovering near the area, but did not have to be engaged.
Nearly every military raid in the last several months has been planned, and implemented by the ISF forces, using the coalition as support. The ISF has been well trained at the hands of the coalition, and they have slowly gained in experience, and professionalism.
Most of the raids are done with Coalition aircraft, but slowly there are aircraft of the propeller variety that are being issued to the small Iraqi Air Force.
